Meet Principal Eboni Burts, Ed.s.
Eboni Burts began her educational career in the Miami Dade County Public School District in 2003 as a second grade teacher at Joella C. Good Elementary. In 2004, Mrs. Burts became MDCPS Rookie Teacher of the Year for that entire county, besting 6 other finalists.
Thereafter, Mrs. Burts positively impacted student growth and achievement in the educational arena as a Reading and ESE Specialist before accepting her first principal position at a Broward Charter School. 2020-21 marks a successful year at her founding school, ECB Educational Center K-8 Center in Broward County, Florida.
Her educational experiences have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being.
Her educational philosophy is based on her belief that all students can learn, given a God-first positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family. All of which, the ECB Educational Center Christian-based Private School possesses.
In 2004, Mrs. Burts received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Varying Exceptionalities with Elementary Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from Barry University. She returned to Barry University of Miami Shores where she earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education with Reading in 2005.
After several years, Mrs. Burts pursued her Specialist in Educational Leadership Degree which she obtained in 2007. Principal Burts continues to receive recognition for her influence on student progression and shows no signs of growing weary.
Last, but not least, Mrs. Burts is a loving wife and mother of three children.
